ZEH develops and manufactures woofer speaker drivers for OEM and ODM projects. We match the driver size, structure, impedance, power and low-frequency response to your enclosure, amplifier, crossover and adjoining speaker drivers—not to a fixed off-the-shelf specification.
A woofer speaker driver is designed to reproduce the low-frequency section of an audio system, adding depth, body and impact to music, sound effects and other audio content.
It is commonly used in two-way, three-way and multi-driver speaker systems. Depending on the product design, the woofer may operate together with a tweeter, midrange driver or both.
Woofer performance cannot be determined by diameter or power rating alone. Cone material, suspension, voice coil, magnet, excursion capability, enclosure volume, port design, amplifier output and crossover settings all influence the final low-frequency result.

A dedicated woofer gives an audio system the low-frequency depth, weight and impact that a full-range or midbass driver cannot reproduce efficiently. ZEH develops custom woofer drivers around the enclosure, amplifier, crossover and target bass performance of each OEM audio product.
Full-range and midbass drivers can reproduce vocals and upper-bass content, but they may lack the diaphragm area and excursion required for deeper bass.
ZEH selects the appropriate woofer diameter, cone structure, magnetic circuit and suspension system to achieve the required low-frequency extension and sound pressure. The woofer can be developed for automotive audio, home speakers, karaoke systems, professional loudspeakers and other bass-dependent products.
A woofer cannot be selected by diameter and power rating alone. Its free-air resonance, compliance and total Q must match the enclosure volume and whether the cabinet uses a sealed or ported design.
ZEH evaluates Fs, Vas, Qts, enclosure volume, port tuning and crossover frequency together. This helps reduce weak bass, excessive resonance and poor low-frequency control after the woofer is installed in the finished cabinet.
Woofer drivers operate with greater diaphragm movement and higher mechanical loads than midrange speakers. An unsuitable voice coil, suspension or magnetic circuit can cause overheating, distortion, mechanical noise or damage under sustained high-power operation.
ZEH coordinates voice coil diameter, magnet size, surround, spider and cone structure according to the required power and excursion. Engineering samples can be tested under rated and extended operating conditions before production.
For OEM audio products, every woofer must reproduce a similar bass response—not only the approved sample. Variations in moving mass, suspension stiffness, voice coil position or magnetic strength can change resonance and sensitivity.
ZEH controls component assembly and key electroacoustic parameters through automated and semi-automated manufacturing, acoustic testing and pilot-production validation. This supports consistent performance from engineering samples through repeat volume orders.
