Multimedia audio speakers are electroacoustic components designed to reproduce speech, music, video soundtracks, gaming audio, and system notification sounds. Medium-size speakers require a careful balance between output capability, frequency response, installation space and system efficiency. Medium speakers are often expected to deliver stronger output and broader usable frequency response than compact drivers while still fitting within controlled installation space. Our engineers optimize the diaphragm, suspension, magnetic circuit and voice coil to achieve the required balance of sensitivity, power handling, frequency response and distortion.
Different products require different acoustic priorities. ZEH can configure speaker diameter, impedance, rated power, frequency response, sensitivity, frame structure and material selection according to applications such as multimedia systems, professional audio equipment, automotive electronics, smart devices and commercial sound products.
Speaker performance depends heavily on the surrounding system. We evaluate the driver together with enclosure volume, cabinet structure, acoustic chamber, crossover, amplifier, PCBA and sound outlet design to help achieve more stable frequency response, sufficient SPL and better overall system performance.
Before mass production, prototypes can be evaluated for frequency response, sensitivity, impedance, distortion, power handling, mechanical fit and other project-specific requirements. With controlled materials, production processes and acoustic testing, ZEH helps maintain consistent performance from approved samples to production batches.
The size should be neither too large nor too small, and the speaker should produce loud sound without distortion.
As the most critical component for sound reproduction, a speaker needs to precisely balance two core requirements: compatibility with the enclosure size and acoustic performance. The right audio speaker should be matched based on the customer’s actual enclosure size and the power of the PCBA board. To achieve “loud sound without distortion” in terms of acoustic performance, focus on the speaker’s core configuration: use a high-purity copper voice coil to improve energy conversion efficiency, pair it with a neodymium-iron-boron strong magnet to enhance driving force, and adopt a composite fiber diaphragm to optimize vibration stability. At the same time, customize a sealed sound cavity according to the in-vehicle environment to reduce cabin resonance interference. This not only meets the need for clear sound amplification during driving but also avoids noise and distortion at high volumes.
If the enclosure is already formed (e.g., fixed mold, limited installation space), targeted adjustments can be made to the speaker size, or a custom-shaped speaker that fits the enclosure cavity can be developed to achieve precise integration without modifying the enclosure. Additionally, optimize the speaker’s acoustic structure to compensate for enclosure defects (such as sound leakage caused by insufficient sealing). If the enclosure is still adjustable, its structure can be optimized according to the size and acoustic requirements of the target speaker, fundamentally solving the compatibility issue.
The speaker power can be accurately matched to the set parameters of the PCBA power amplifier, with the core goal of achieving “sound optimization + performance compatibility”. ZEH’s professional PCBA acoustic engineers first accurately measure core parameters of the power amplifier, such as rated power and output impedance. Then, they adjust key indicators of the speaker—including the number of voice coil layers, magnetic strength, and diaphragm rigidity—to ensure perfect matching between the speaker power and the PCBA power amplifier. This not only avoids distortion and noise caused by power mismatch but also maximizes the performance of the power amplifier, achieving dual optimization of volume and sound quality. Engineers will also conduct targeted tuning based on the product’s actual usage scenarios (e.g., noisy environment, installation location) to ensure the final acoustic performance meets the product’s requirements.
